Are you an experienced Accounts Controller fluent in Dutch, with a deep understanding of Dutch accounting practices and regulations?
Join our international team in Cape Town and play a crucial role in managing our financial operations, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong financial controls across both Dutch and South African accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger management.
- Ensure compliance with Dutch accounting standards, tax regulations, and South African financial practices.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow analyses.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in tax filings, including VAT and corporate tax, in line with Dutch and local requirements.
- Monitor financial transactions for accuracy, and maintain organized and up-to-date records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business goals.
- Liaise with external auditors and assist with audits for both Dutch and South African entities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, with strong communication skills.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Controller or similar role, with knowledge of Dutch accounting practices and regulations.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and familiarity with South African accounting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a multicultural, cross-border team environment.
